Banaras Hindu University (BHU) conducts the School Entrance Test (SET) every year. This examination is held for admission to Class 9 (IX) and Class 11 (XI). Through SET 2026, students will be granted admission for the academic session 2026–27 in the prestigious BHU-affiliated schools — Central Hindu Boys’ School (CHBS) and Central Hindu Girls’ School (CHGS).

Go to the official BHU online admission portal: bhuonline.in.

Click on the SET 2026 application link for Class 9 & 11.

Register with basic details (name, email, mobile).

Fill in personal and academic information.

Upload required documents (photo, signature).

Pay the application fee online (Credit/Debit/Net Banking).

Submit the form and take a printout for future reference. (

BHU SET Eligibility Criteria
✏️ For Class 9 (IX)

Candidates should be 13 to 15 years old as on 31 March 2026.

Must have passed Class 8 from a recognised school.
For Class 11 (XI)

Should be 18 years or younger as on 31 March 2026.

Must have passed Class 10 from a recognised board.
For external candidates, admission (especially Class 11) may also consider marks in the entrance test and/or board exam performance. Minimum passing criteria and stream-wise requirements may apply.
Entrance Test (SET)

SET is usually offline (pen-paper based).

Subjects and pattern depend on the class and stream applied.

Students must appear on the exam date with a valid admit card and ID.
Admit Card & Results
✔ Admit cards will be issued online in April 2026.
✔ Results are generally declared in June 2026.
